Bliss is about a family that has a birthmark of a ladle and bakes magical things that help people. The ancient art of baking happens to be in this book. I think this book is a contender for the OPLbery award.

This is one of the best books I’ve ever read. You wouldn’t believe what the magical recipes did! It all went wrong and the town went crazy. Rosemary and Thyme use the magical cookbook to try and help some people in the town. When the parents go away to help the mayor, the four children’s–Rosemary, Thyme, Sage and Leigh (Parsley)–never-before-seen aunt comes over. It’s about a family with a magical cookbook. Twelve-year-old Rose Bliss wants to work magic in her family’s bakery as her parents do, but when they are called away and Rose and her siblings are left in charge, the magic goes awry and a beautiful stranger tries to talk Rose into giving her the BlissCookery Booke.
